Curtains are by far your best option in terms of looks. Bay Windows If your home has bay windows do not ruin them by installing blinds. Putting In blinds in bay windows is plain wrong and will make your home look like an office building. Instead put up an ornate metal curtain pole and suspend some beautiful curtains from that. Reliability In terms of the question of dependability there is only one winner. Blinds are notorious for getting twisted, breaking or getting stuck when you want to move them. The mechanisms employed in some types of blinds especially Venetians are very prone to malfunction. Curtains however are extremely reliable. They may be used for years with very little maintenance and if something should go wrong it will be easy to correct again. I have listed a few of the reasons for deciding on curtains rather than blinds. Blinds for me are solely functional things and have no place in the home. Curtains are fantastic for any kind of home and any type of room and always will be.
